The Model 6320D is designed to provide the user with a high quality, low cost measurement system for routine analysis. The 6320D has modes for Absorbance, %T and Concentration measurement. Calibration is performed against a blank (Abs or %T) and a standard or factor for Concentration. Wavelength selection is made electronically via a finely geared stepper motor with a displayed resolution of 1nm.
Features include:
A customised LCD gives simultaneous readout of wavelength and photometric result. Error messages, prompts, mode indication and a choice of concentration units are presented in an easily understood format.
Simple keypad layout and operating protocols ensure reliable operation by unfamiliar users.
An impressive optical performance minimises the stray light by the automatic activation of internal filters, whilst the narrow 8nm bandwidth provides the high degree of selectivity essential for most analytical situations. A precision stepper motor gives excellent positional control for the optical grating ensuring wavelength selection is both accurate and highly repeatable.
A versatile sampling system enables both 10mm path length cuvettes and 12.7mm diameter test tubes to be used, as standard. Optional sample holders include the 10-100mm adjustable cuvette holder, a 4 position cuvette holder and a range of test tube holders covering tubes from 10 to 25mm diameter. Flow through cuvettes can be used with the optional sipper pump, while water heated or electrically heated cuvette holder options are available.
Full interfacing capability using RS232 interfacing or an analogue output is provided as standard. Utilising the RS232 facility allows results to be down loaded via the front panel print key.
The bi-directional interface also allows remote interrogation and control of the 6320D.
Traceable calibration standards provide the on-going assurance of accuracy required by Good Laboratory Practice (G.L.P.). The 6320D complies fully with EEC and US directives relating to ESD/EMC emission and susceptibility.
